Job Duties
- Manage digital communications, including social media, newsletters, and website updates.
- Assist with public relations and event promotion by designing visual materials and outreach content (e.g., manuals, posters, flyers) to support organizational engagement and visibility.
- Serve as the Mediation Training Coordinator: (1) Organize and facilitate regular meetings of the statewide training committee. (2) Coordinate and promote a unified mediation training calendar. (3) Support improvements to training curriculum and outreach strategies. (4) Assist individuals across the state in accessing mediation training and pursuing mediator certification more efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Education: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Communication Design.
- Experience: At least 12 months of experience in Communications or Digital Media Work and related occupation.
- Special Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), social media management platforms, and content management systems.
- Excellent written communication and visual storytelling skills for creating compelling digital content.
- In-depth knowledge of mediation processes and conflict resolution techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including clients, facilitators, and community stakeholders.
- Ongoing development of mediation skills, with plans to obtain certification in mediation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships between individuals in conflict.
- Experience or training in restorative justice principles and practices, enhancing conflict resolution efforts.
- Work Arrangement: Must work on-site in Harrisonburg, Virginia; remote work is not permitted.
