VA's Judicial System: A Certification Course in Mediation
This course provides an overview of VA’s judicial system. Both jurisdictional issues as well as procedural issue will be discussed, especailly how thiese issues relate to mediation at eeach level of the court.
*This is a required course for mediation certification at any level in VA but may be waived by DRS for members in good standing with the Virginia Bar.
**This course is certified by the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia. However, please note that mere attendance at this training does not guarantee successful completion of the course for mediation certification purposes. Suggested Prerequisite(s): Basic Mediation Training
Mode: Interactive, Synchronous Zoom Meeting
Requirements: In order to participate in this online class you must have a computer with a camera and microphone as well as a strong, secure internet connection.
Trainer(s): Chris Reilly
Christine M. Reilly is the senior coordinating publications attorney with Virginia Continuing Legal Education, the edu-cational division of the Virginia Law Foundation, and schedules and oversees the production of new books and updates to over forty existing titles. She formerly practiced law in Virginia, primarily as a trial attorney in the areas of criminal defense and domestic relations. She earned a J.D. from George Mason University and a B.A. from Virginia Tech. Ms. Reilly is also a trained mediator and teaches the judiciary training that is required for mediator certifi-cation at several community mediation centers.

**refunds minus 10% admin fee may be issued if cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to the training start date.
***no refund will be issued when cancellation is made within 7 days of the training start date, but the registration fee can be applied to a future training taken within 12 months.
