Advanced Mediation Training for Circuit Court Family Mediators in Virginia

*This course is certified by the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia. However, please note that mere attendance at this training does not guarantee successful completion of the course for mediation certification purposes. Prerequisite(s): Basic Mediation Training, Family Mediation Training

Mode: Interactive, Synchronous Zoom Meeting

Requirements: In order to participate in this online class you must have a computer with a camera and microphone as well as a strong, secure internet connection.

If you miss any portion of this training, the trainer may not be able to provide you with a completion certificate. Any missed time must be approved by the FairField Center. If the time missed can be made up outside of class time, there will be a $75 charge per hour fee for one on one instructor time.

Trainer(s): Shannon Sneary Alabanza, with Dillina Stickley

Shannon Sneary Alabanza is a skilled conflict engagement practitioner and premier trainer. She brings over 25 years of experience in conflict intervention and holds a master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Her greatest interests focus on blending trauma informed practices with reflective and dynamic services and training.

Shannon has trained individuals and groups in communication and conflict resolution skills through multiple workshops, trainings, and presentations. In addition to being the Director of Training Programs at FairField Center, Shannon is an adjunct professor in both graduate and undergraduate classes in the study of negotiation, mediation, and facilitation.
